Who are we ?

A FAMILY STORY

Since 1916 this family property located in Saint-Loubès near Bordeaux, has been passed down from generation to generation guaranteeing the know-how of Bordeaux wines. We are committed to our customers to produce quality wine. Our daily operations are carried out by professionals passionate about the wine world. We offer vineyard tours and wine tastings daily.

The Winemaker

JACQUES MEYNARD

Jacques followed in the footsteps of his ancestors by having a passion for wine.

After obtaining his argricultural engineering degree in Angers, he multiplied the internships aimed at discovering new horizons and acquiring knowledge before returning to the roots : Saint-Loubès.

Today he represents the fourth generation of arborist-winegrower. Passionate about paleontology and mineralogy, Jacques pays particular attention to the soil and its properties.

Terroir

GRAPES, SOILS AND CLIMATE

The estate covers 30 hectares of vineyard and 3 hectares of pear trees. We cultivate eight different grape varieties such as Cabernet-Sauvignon, Cabernet-Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Gris.

The alliance of the influence of the Garonne and the Dordogne and clay-loam soil with a subsoil of gravely ferruginous, allows a precocity and a concentration that have nothing to envy to certain more famous soils.

Our wines

WINES FOR AGING

The estate produces red wines for cellaring in offbeat vintages. Indeed, we keep them for the first years so that they can evolve and express all their complexity when we market them.

The estate produces 4 red cuvées, 4 white cuvées (dry and mellow), 1 rosé cuvée and 1 clairet cuvée.

Our range is wide and makes it possible to satisfy all desires, so come and taste at the château !

Vineyard management

OUR ENGAGEMENT

The vineyard has been managed in Reasoned Agriculture since 1998 (management of treatments and work based on real and unsystematic needs, with respect for the environment), certified in 2007 with specialized technical monitoring.

The soil is mostly worked.
